Nikki Brueggeman, Oral Historian
Nikki is a former Fulbright grantee and proud graduate of Washington State University's history department. As a historian, Nikki found her calling in documenting the human side of the pandemic. She has interviewed COVID-19 survivors, medical staff, veterinarians, and educators from across the United States about their experiences in the pandemic. She is particularly interested in collecting the stories of people of color, LGBTQ+ folks, and women to assure their narratives are preserved in the memory of the outbreak. Nikki began working on The #DocumentingCOVID19 Project as a personal project and is excited that the project will be donated to Washington State University.
Nikki resides in Southern California and can be found on Twitter @warriornikki.
